7 1/2 months of catching up

Wow, where has the time gone? I have had the best of intentions on keeping this blog up-to-date. I have a great excuse though :) She is the best thing that has ever happened to me and Mark....we are so very lucky. So let me start at the beginning, Hannah Elizabeth Fraser was born into this world on November 26, 2008...she weighed in at 7 pounds 6 ounces, and she was 20 1/2 inches long. Just a little peanut and oh so beautiful. I will recount her birth at some point but for now let me get a few recent pictures up!

First bites of food....too darn cute! She loved her sweet potatoes right from the start.

And then there was the first teething biscuit, and I think my favorite picture of Hannah!

She is now also sitting up and very proud of herself!

And two weeks ago little Miss Hannah started swimming lessons....can they really be called swimming lessons at 7 months? Anyway, she LOVES the pool and the water!

More stories and fun to follow....here is my summary so far.....motherhood is wonderful, colic is hell, the smallest things amaze me, Hannah's smile takes my breath away daily, Mark is an amazing daddy.....I could go on but I think you get the point, I AM HAPPY and so very much in love with my family.

38 weeks

Today I am 38 weeks and the doctor said that I could go anytime now....oh please let it be soon! I am ready, and so is Daddy!! Not much new to report, everything that we have for the baby is washed, put together and put away. I'm now working from home, it's so nice not to have to get dressed up every day.

Catching up!!

Wow, I can't believe that it's been a month since I posted last. Life has been crazy trying to get ready for baby, mostly making sure that we have everything and that everything at work is as tied up as possible!
34 weeks

36 weeks....there is no 35 weeks because of a freak snow storm and the loss of power (which means water, heat, etc. out in the sticks where we live!). Way too much going on and we missed the picture :)

37 weeks....FULL-TERM, let's go baby!!!!!!!

Baby is measuring perfectly and we are so excited to meet this little one! I had my second shower, it was really nice as well. I need to get some pictures from that. We went shopping last weekend and we seem to have everything we need for baby's arrival. I am sure that there is something that we missed but we'll figure it out!

Here is the cradle the baby will sleep in for the first few months....all of the Fraser babies since Aunt Justine and Daddy have slept in it (cousins, nieces, etc.). It's a family tradition and we can not wait to carry on the tradition!!

33 Weeks!

I was 33 weeks pregnant yesterday....are we done yet? Oh my goodness I feel "done"!! That's not a stretch mark on the bottom part of my belly, it's my scar from my appendix :) I'm still waiting for a stretch mark to dare and show it's awfulness on my belly. Each week there are none, I count myself as lucky! I'm still feeling really good other than one spot in my back and getting tired easily. Next doctor's appointment is Friday, I guess we'll see if I am more than 1cm dialated at that point.

Family Hike at Jockey Hollow

It's 70 degrees on a Saturday in October and you are 8 months pregnant....what are you going to do? Going hiking of course :) We headed out to our favorite hiking spot near our house, Jockey Hollow, it's where Washington and his troops were stationed way back when. It is absolutely beautiful and Fynn had never been before. Both the pups were in absolute heaven!

Checking out the water....Fynn hopped right in!

Jakey and Daddy....so cute!

Some nice man saw us struggling to get a picture and offered to take a family picture.
It was a great weekend, and so nice to be outside. Sunday we started childbirth classes, wow, that some reality setting in!!! 33 weeks today, we'll get a picture tonight and post it. I'm ready to be done now :)

Rochester Shower

Last weekend Mark and I drove to Upstate on Friday night, the trip up and back were probably some of the easiest driving we've ever encountered on this route! Thank you for good timing, nothing worse than being stuck in traffic on a Friday night after a long week. My shower was Saturday at noon and my mom, sister and friend Cathi really out did themselves, especially in the food department! I think that we could have fed the entire town. Everything was fantastic and I got great gifts. It was so good to catch up with everyone. Here are some pics from my shower.....

A couple of my cousins (Courtney and Amy) and me before everything got going!

We played games....some people were nicer than others :)

Nana and Papa got the baby a ducky outfit!

GG crocheted the baby two blankets, here is one!

Amy, Carrie and Aunt Cheryl got the baby a cute "First Christmas" outfit :)

Then it was Olivia and Emmalee's turn. Liv's presents were way overdue, we were hoping that she'd be able to come to the American Girl Place store and pick out her own gifts. Instead she got a couple of books and PJs for her doll, and matching PJs for herself.
And Miss Emm will be 5 years old soon, and that means the Big Girl Birthday present!! She was so excited, she thinks Kit is the best.
On Tuesday I was 32 weeks, grow baby grow!
